Soul Mates

By Munda

(edited by Nancy Ness)

Forever and a day, our love will thrive

Together we shall walk the path of life

Enwrapped in pure white petals of a rose

Eternal winds sing songs of sweet repose

Two hearts, one beat - one mind - one soul

Our kindred spirits – love's greatest symbol

As one to each we are life’s symphony

From dawn of time, we’re – soul mates – you and me

We share a gently guiding holding hand

O’er trembling earth, or quagmire of quicksand

We’ll climb as one each mountainside too steep

Supporting too when valleys are too deep

We’ll cry together single truest tear

One from within that cleanses every fear

We’ll laugh the laughter of soul's harlequin

Remain ourselves, yet spirits lost akin

We'll show the world love's value found anew

And love each other as true lovers do

On solid rock of love we'll build our home

As two - yet one - we'll be never alone

Enchanting melody; life's symphony

Soul mates we are – forever – you and me
